Faith @ Home Magazines
Chinook Winds & Pacific Mountain First Third Ministry create this visually beautiful and theologically fabulous resource for church leaders, in-house! Faith@Home Magazines were created as an outreach resource for ministers and leaders to foster their ministry with the children, youth, and families in the community of faith they serve. Leaders order enough copies for each family (or individual) in their community, and arrange for delivery of the magazine to each household. In addition to supporting faith formation at home, Faith@Home magazines have proven to be a wonderful way to support grandparents and godparents in faithfully connecting with the young people in their lives. Proudly United Church of Canada First Third Ministry's Faith@Home resources are grounded in the celebrated gifts of our United Church of Canada denomination: positive and Affirming Christian identity, belonging for all, and social justice. The content is created by experienced United Church of Canada Children and Family Ministers. The resources are designed to equip church leaders in their own ministry setting. Our magazines are created with spiritual practices, prayers, crafts, games, and activities that explore the themes of the different liturgical seasons and focus on specific biblical stories taken from lectionary readings. A Resource that Resonates Faith@Home magazines are designed to foster faith language and Christian practices in a home setting. Each issue is full of practices, materials and prompts that nurture faith conversations, and encourage families of all makes and shapes to:
Faith@Home Magazines offer an innovative way for church leaders to engage directly with and support the faith formation in the homes of the children, youth and families in your setting. |
Nurturing community, and supporting faith at home is central to your congregational ministry.
When tallying your people, consider the different family groups who are part of your community of faith and beyond! You may want to connect with grandparents, god parents, aunts/uncles within your church and offer them the option to receive these resources from you, to reach their loved ones who may not be immediately part of your church family.
