About Us

First Third Ministry is ministry with and for people in the Pacific Mountain, Northern Spirit, and Chinook Winds  Regional Councils, who are in the first of life's three stages: people Birth to mid-30s, including families of all makes and shapes and sizes. First Third Ministry Animators and Team Lead offers events, leadership development and community of faith support. The following organizations and groups are part of our network too:

First Third Ministry, as a ministry of The United Church of Canada, continues to walk the road of healing and truth telling. Our Territorial Acknowledgment is an important part of our Reconciliation work and represents our understanding of place, power and ways of knowing. Our Territorial Acknowledgment will continue to evolve as our Reconciliation journey continues. The United Church of Canada has much to atone for and we recognize the church’s role in the colonial project and in particular the traumas inflicted upon children by the church’s ministries.
