Rev. Dr. Doctor Lakisha Lockhart was born in Waynesville, Mo and raised in Columbus OH.  Dr. Lockhart has a BA in Philosophy and Religion from Claflin University in Orangeburg SC, a M.Div with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC , MA in Ethics and Society from Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN and a PhD in Theology and Education from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA. 
Rev. Dr. Lakisha Lockhart was the assistant professor in Practical Theology at Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and starting in July 2020, she will be the assistant professor at Chicago theological seminary. 
Dr. Lockhart is a consultant with the Forum for Theological Exploration on behalf of the Lilly endowment and for Vocational Play and Play for Leadership Development.
