Connecting with Families in our Communities of Faith at Easter
There has never been a more important time, some would say, to find ways to connect with the households in our community of faith. It is a time to be reminded that we are not alone. It is time to be reminded over and over again that new life, resurrection moments are around us, ours to see and notice. Easter 2020 might be a different experience than we might have expected but can have a unique ability to make a different beautiful memory.
Perhaps there are people within your congregation who might get together online to build the pieces and create kits for families in your community of faith, committed to ensuring physical distancing and sanitary measures. Remind people as they build these kits to keep their hands washed and the surfaces in which they work sanitized. There are pieces of this kits that would adapt to sharing online if that feels easier to manage. See if someone might be able to drop off the packages early Sunday morning or mail them with a sticker that says "do not open until Easter Sunday morning". Pick the pieces that work, discard the ones that won't! |
